Quintus is a consort of five voices based in West Kent; two sopranos, alto, tenor and bass. We are a versatile ensemble but specialise in the music of the 16th to 18th centuries.
The group was formed in 2003 and since then has performed numerous concerts and church services featuring a wide variety of music suitable for one voice to a part performance.
We have also performed with additional voices, notably in Bach’s St John Passion in 2006 and in two subsequent concerts of music by Purcell, Handel and Bach, on each occasion with Finchcocks Baroque directed by Steven Devine.
